Maximum Precision since 100 Years: LÄPPLE celebrates anniversary

On April 1st, 1919, the passionate toolmaker August Läpple founded a small mechanic workshop in Weinsberg near Heilbronn. Today, LÄPPLE – still 100 percent family-owned – is an internationally successful group of companies with around 2,700 employees at 15 locations in 9 countries. Headquarter is still located in Heilbronn. Under the motto "Maximum Precision since 100 Years", the LÄPPLE Group celebrates the anniversary year with several events for customers, partners, shareholders and employees.

"The fascination for technological developments paired with the will to maximum precision and quality is one of the legacies of August Läpple that lead our thinking and acting to this day, drive us and make the company versatile," says Klemens Schmiederer, Speaker of the Board of LÄPPLE AG. "We do not only refer to the term precision on our products and solutions, it also describes our commitment to our processes and our daily work."

As an automotive supplier, the LÄPPLE Group operates in a structurally and technologically rapidly changing industry. New mobility concepts, e-mobility, autonomous driving and digitization are just some of the factors that are influencing the automotive industry today and in the future.

"August Läpple founded his workshop shortly after the First World War, at a time of great change," says Stephan Itter, CFO of the LÄPPLE Group. "The start into the second century of our corporate history is also marked by profound changes. Our adaptability and a targeted business strategy make us strong and are key success factors for our future growth."
